Feast Festivities at The Nightwood

The Nightwood Society is so proud to have our first FEAST Portland celebration under our belt. We hosted three amazing dinners, one fabulous brunch, and one high minded cannabis cooking class. It was an honor to host so many talented women and men in our space. Our From Russia with Love dinner featured Kachka chef Bonnie Morales creating a lively Russian Banquet Hall menu. Abraham Conlon and Adrienne Lo of Chicago’s Fat Rice, Peter Cho of Han Oak, Carlo LaMagna of Magna, and our own kitchen queen Sarah Schneider put their spin to the dishes at this collaborative dinner. On Friday Angie Mar of New York’s Beatrice Inn, brought her major steak skills to our kitchen, creating an communal meal featuring aged meats and a modern Korean spin on dinner with Peter Cho’s dishes. Saturday night San Francisco chef Dominique Crenn, NYC chef Emma Bengtsson and Portland chef Kristen Murray took over our kitchen for a memorable collaborative dinner.

We rounded out the weekend with a cooking and education class devoted to cannabis featuring food writer and cookbook author Martha Holmberg, Charley Wheelock of Woodblock Chocolate, and Holly Hukill of Serra. And we finished the incredible weekend off with Ladies Who Lunch to celebrate cookbooks by Martha Holmberg, Jessica Battilana of Repertoire in San Francisco, and Portland's own Dana Frank and Andrea Slonecker.

This was an epic weekend for the Nightwood Society ladies! It was an honor to host so many passionate chefs and welcome all of our guests to these events. We appreciate your support and hope to see you walk through our doors soon!
