The Nightwood Ladies x Outstanding in the Field

If you aren't spending some time dining outside, we're going to encourage you to get on that these last days of summer! Take a look at the gorgeous pictures from our dinner with our friends at Outstanding in the Field. Archery Summit Winery provided an ideal backdrop with breathtaking views of the Willamette Valley. The all-lady kitchen led by our own Sarah Schneider served up a memorable dinner that included seared albacore tuna, beef mixed-grill, eggplant stracciatella with bonito and peanuts all served with plenty of vegetables and herbs. All of the food and drinks came from Oregon growers and producers including Vibrant Valley Farm, Rick Steffen Farm, Blue Raven Farm, DeNoble Farms, Our Table Cooperative Farms, Groundworks Organics, Wilder Land & Sea, Revel Meat Co., Wolves & People Brewery, and Archery Summit.  

This was a bit of a homecoming for our Director of Experience Leah Scafe. She spent seven years heading up the team for Outstanding in the Field and felt a bit of nostalgia for the travel and camaraderie. But Leah was thrilled to witness a different side of organizing the dinner. "It was great to see people I used to work with like Christian of Wolves & People Brewery and Jimmy and Julia of Revel Meat Co. be there as producers. It's all very exciting."

We can't think of a better way to appreciate the bounty of local food while enjoying a communal meal outside with old and new friends.
